As Amanda and her brother moved into their first apartments, Vanessa measured their units and created original furniture layouts, optimizing their spaces, and creating furniture collections. When sharing this with friends, we heard an endless number of stories about how people did not know how to furnish their own spaces. They said if they had known they would have hired us to put collections together for them and Fittingly Furnished was born.
With a desire to bring well designed living spaces to everyone, we have reimagined the shopping experience! We provide professionally designed living spaces without the expense of hiring an Interior Designer. Instead of scrolling through thousands of pages of furniture, we have selected the best pieces found at Market creating stylish and timeless collections… for easy one-stop shopping!
We created Fittingly Furnished where we design a limited number of furniture collections for sale on our website and offer design consultations.
As we launched Dwelling Defined in 2023, we met with Property Managers to share our original concept. It is complicated for residents to know how to arrange their furniture. Dwellings Defined measured each style unit, created original CAD drawings and furniture arrangements. We curated a limited collection of furniture that fit into the spaces for easy one-stop shopping on our website. Many units are difficult to arrange. This has been a useful selling tool for the Property Management team.
At meetings and trade shows, we are frequently asked if we can help update Models, Lobbies, and Common Spaces. Of course we can! Dwellings Defined Commercial and Hospitality is your go-to partner for all design needs.

Vanessa and Amanda
Specializing in high-end residential design, Vanessa Nunley draws on experience as an Interior Designer since 1999. Whether designing customized furniture and window treatments, or custom kitchens and bathrooms, Vanessa embraces the Art of Making a Home; creating spaces that are gracious, elegant, beautifully appointed, and comfortable.
Since graduating from DePauw University with a degree in Economics in 2018, Amanda Nunley has worked in finance, with a specialty in valuation. While focused on marketing and technology, Amanda has grown up in the design industry, accompanying her mom, Vanessa, to design showrooms, the furniture market, and into the homes of clients.
Jimmy “Dugan” Nunley: Dugan loves pup cups, long walks, and is excellent at customer service.
Greg “Maddux” Nunley: Maddux loves sticks, playing with his friends, and is proficient in CAD.
